Environmental Impact Assessment
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Audits (EA) are legal requirement as contemplated in the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA CAP 387) for all new projects and ongoing projects respectively that may be injurious to the environment in order to ensure sustainable development.
Our firm undertakes a menu of environmental assessments, audits and planning services that complements the Environmental Impact Assessment at all scales.
Our Approach
The approach employed by our firm in undertaking EIA and EA incorporates a number of steps namely;
- Close liaison with the client to ascertain needs;
- Consultation with stakeholders to identify their concerns;
- Undertaking a Scoping Study and production of a Scoping Report;
- Consultation with statutory bodies, other interested parties and the public, if appropriate;
- Assessment of environmental impacts;
- Formulation of mitigation measures;
- Preparation of an Environmental Statement, EIA Report and non-technical summary and Post decision environmental management and monitoring systems.
